The PRISM-Q logo contains multiple elements meant to reflect both hope and promise for the LGBTQ community and beyond.  The beauty of the rainbow shines from the refracted light of the PRISM representing the diversity of the LGBTQ community.  As the rainbow radiates outward, it inspires a sense of pride and optimism for our greater community.  The colors are to liberate.  They are to encourage our community not to hide but celebrate diversity with pride.

We hope you will be inspired to contribute and invite you to take part in the launch of PRISM-Q, a new center for our community's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual and Queer community – and their allies. Your generosity will make a difference by allowing us to move forward with this important endeavor.    We have heard from community leaders, local educators, law enforcement, and members of the medical community that services are sorely lacking in  Placer County for the  LGBTQ community. Our mission is to provide a safe space where members of the LGBTQ community and their allies can receive education, mentoring, peer support, and referral to social services. In the future, we will partner with other organizations to provide medical services and other vital community resources.
